Longhorn Mosaic (11×14)
Longhorn Beetles (Cerambycidae) form one of the most impressive of all insect families. Contained therein are some of the largest, most powerful and dangerous of all beetles, as well as many of the most elegantly adorned. The Longhorn Beetle Mosaic is an attempt to apportion some semblance of order to an otherwise riotously divergent family. The singular characteristic tying this family – and this piece – together are is also their namesake – oversized antennae.
