Another bucket list species, the leafy sea dragon.

Another bucket list species, the leafy sea dragon. This huge specimen was graciously donated by one of the great aquaculture institutions of America after its passing.
I don't know of this species has ever been effectively preserved before. If not, I know why --it was close to impossible.

Art Drop November 18

Just a few of the pieces that will be included in the drop. There will be some special works, a retired museum piece or two, and several never-before-offered specimens.

Then, on Black Friday, advanced copies of the special edition of my new book, Exquisite Creatures will be made available for Christmas. The 304-page edition comes signed, in a custom clamshell debossed with iridescent inks, and includes a signed, numbered giclee print. A gorgeous, limited holiday gift for $300.
The standard edition release is in February, many more details to follow-

I'm proud to announce that Exquisite Creatures is coming to Minnesota

The Science Museum of Minnesota is considered one of the top 10 science museums in the US so we're pulling out all stops to make this our best exhibit yet.

Opening February 15, 2023 and showing through September 4, this iteration will be 8,000 sf of immersive, inspiring wonder with many pieces, films, music and features debuting.

Next up, a 10,000sf installation in one of the top art museums in America, then back to the West Coast (contracts take forever to iron out, so more details to follow)

Pretty happy with this one.
To my knowledge, nothing like this has ever been attempted and it was pretty exciting to see orchid biodiversity finally preserved in a way that should last forever.

This piece will join the exhibit and isn't currently available, but I should have some botanicals in the near future that are.
